What has The Dementia Project, Team 20: CCNA, RRITE AGE-WELL this year? Check it out!

The Dementia Project first signed the research contract in 2015. The Research Team members work together out of the All Nations Healing Hospital, in Fort Qu'Appelle, and the Indigenous Community-Based Health Research: HSNRI Morning Star Lodge, in Regina. They also work with a Community Research Advisory Committee (CRAC). The CRAC guides them throughout their research processes.The Team has been working with the 11 communities within the File Hills Tribal Council. This project aims to create more culturally safe care for Indigenous people with dementia in rural/remote areas, while simutaneoulsy raising awaremenss about this and building capacity.

What has Team 20 been up to this winter? Check it out!

The team at I-CAARE has been developing culturally safe factsheets with Indigenous people living with memory loss and their caregivers since 2014, based on a need identified in an earlier project, Perceptions of Alzheimer's disease and related dementias among Aboriginal people in Ontario.
